Slow cooker recipes are the best!
This is the type of slow cooker recipe you put on in the morning and check every hour. Since there is a 5-6 hour cook time on this crockpot pulled pork, you don't really need to do much work. For the first step, you just need the Dr. Pepper, chopped onions, and pulled pork. From there you just let it sit and cook on low heat or high. Depends on how you want to cook this. The reason why I'm into these crockpot recipes right now is that some days I really don't have the time to cook. I also made my own coleslaw which is WAY better than buying store-bought. I tweaked it just to my liking. The difficult part of this recipe is the shredded pork. I used two forks to shred my pulled pork which took forever so I would recommend bear claws to use for the pulled pork.
Why the Dr. Pepper?
And you might be thinking, what's up with the Dr. Pepper? Well I guess the ingredients in this drink helps make the pulled pork nice and tender so it can pull apart better. Some people use different ingredients to make that happen but all of the recipes I Googled used Dr. Pepper. If you hate Dr. Pepper like I DO, trust me when I say you can barely taste it.
