The secret to this Classic Sugar Cookie Recipe
With this classic sugar cookie recipe, it's all about the ingredients. The high butter ratio contributes to the softness of the cookie. The baking powder also gives the cookies a light caky texture. I also used a 2 tablespoon cookie scoop which makes the cookie quite large and it makes the cookies nice and big and the middle nice and soft. Because of the size of the cookie, they take longer to spread out in the oven which leaves you with the soft edges. You can see in my Reel here how soft the middle of the cookie is.
