These are the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever made! Perfectly chewy and crispy. I like to call them perfectly chewy chocolate chip cookies. I call them perfectly chewy chocolate chip cookies

The way I made this recipe was completely by accident. Normally when you're making a cookie recipe you're suppose to slowly add all of the ingredients and slowly mix. I was in a rush during the holiday season and I ended up making cookie mason jars as a gift and I had one left over. I messed up one of the jars and just ended up dumping all of the ingredients into the bowl together with the egg, vanilla extract, and butter and mixed the dough together. I ended up with perfectly chewy chocolate chip cookies!

What I ended up with was a chewy chocolate chip cookie with crispy edges. It was PERFECT. The perfect cookie. I swear, I could eat a whole tray. When the first batch came out the oven and I took a bite my eyes rolled to the back of my head. I couldn't believe the flavor. I made this recipe again and added some sea salt flakes to enhance the flavor.

Perfectly chewy chocolate chip cookies tips:

Since this is a pretty basic recipe there isn't much to dive into but here are some tips to make sure you enjoy this recipe.

    • Store leftover cookie dough in a ziploc bag. There's no need to take the air out of the bag. This dough lasts up to a week in the fridge but you'll end up making the rest of the dough before the week is over.
    • The butter in this recipe has to be softened. I always leave two sticks of butter on my counter just in case I make a recipe.
    • Sea salt is optional. You don't need to add this but if you want to do something different you should try it.
