Let's make some chocolatey Brownies! So decadent and fudgy filled with that classic red velvet color and flavor.
The perfect Red Velvet Valentine's Day Brownies
You can top these brownies with a sweet and savory cream cheese frosting or enjoy them alone. Now, grab your mixing bowl, get ready to whisk away and create a delicious dessert you won't be able to put down.
Simple ingredients: To make these red velvet brownies, I had all of these ingredients at home. If you're an avid baker, you will too.
Food coloring: Liquid food coloring is best, but if you have gel you can make it work too!
Chocolate chips aren't necessary: If you want that EXTRA chocolate, definitely add the chocolate chips. You won't regret it.
My pan of choice is a classic square pan for my brownies. But who says you NEED to use that type of pan. I use a baking spray and I coat my pan before I start whisking up any of these ingredients. Coating the pan first helps my brownies not stick. And when I'm not lazy, I use parchment paper. Parchment paper is the best way to ensure nothing sticks to your pan.
Next, I used my nestle tollhouse cookie dough and placed that on top of my red velvet brownies. These cookies bake right into the brownie batter so there's no need to adjust the cook time. The cookies on top adds that extra delicious flavor and its just a fun way to spruce up your brownie batter. Have you wanted to make red velvet brownies?
