An easy to make Peppermint Bark recipe
Who isn't a fan of chocolate? I can't believe it's taken me so long to make some peppermint bark. It's a simple recipe that only contains milk chocolate, white chocolate and crushed peppermint. All you have to do is melt both chocolates and pour them on the parchment paper along with crushed peppermint.
From there, you pop it in the fridge for 10-20 minutes until the chocolate has hardened. You then use a knife to cut up pieces, it doesn't have to be perfect. I gave my peppermint bark to my neighbors and family as a little holiday gift. I'm not a huge fan of peppermint and chocolate together but I have people in my life that love it, especially my husband so I knew the chocolate would go fast.
Do you need to use two different chocolates?
No, you don't need to use two chocolates if you don't want to. I know people who don't like white chocolate. And listen, the whole point of baking is to make it what you want! If you want a milk chocolate peppermint bark then do it. If you want a white chocolate peppermint bark, do it!

Peppermint Bark
Ingredients
- 1 bag milk chocolate chips
- 1 bag white chocolate chips
- Crushed peppermints
Instructions
- Using a double boiler, melt both the milk and white chocolate chips. I only had one double boiler so I had to melt the milk chocolate first then the white chocolate.
- Typically people spread the white chocolate evenly over the milk chocolate but I messed up a little and I kind of liked it that way. I then sprinkled about 5 or 6 crushed up candy canes I had laying around. You can use any peppermint.
- Pop the peppermint bark in the fridge for 10-20 minutes and cut into pieces with a knife. Enjoy!
