Homemade Coquito during the holidays is my favorite thing to make. It's a classic Puerto Rican drink made with coconut milk, cream of coconut, evaporated milk, condensed milk, cinnamon, and rum if you want. Coquito is the easiest holiday drinks to make if you need something quick to serve at your holiday party or at home by yourself. It's perfectly sweet and delicious. I'm a fan of coconut so I love this drink and I think you would too. If you're a fan of eggnog, try something new this season! Keep reading to get the recipe.
You can add rum to this coconut-based beverage if you decide but it taste amazing by itself. I like to add the cinnamon sticks after and have them sit in the pitcher while the Coquito chills in the fridge. It enhances the cinnamon flavor in the drink and takes it to the next level. According to some recipes, this can sit in the fridge for up to four weeks but it won't last that long because it's so good. This drink is on the sweet side so take your time sipping it unless you want an immediate sugar high. I had a few cups without the rum and I couldn't put my glass down. You can pick up these Goya Coquito kits at Walmart this holiday season and buy a few to hand out as gifts.
