Let's make a Pineapple Mango Margarita
This Cinco de Mayo I made a fruity Pineapple Mango Margarita that's perfect for those warm spring and summer days. There's nothing better than fresh fruit in delicious drink. This frozen Pineapple Mango Margarita is perfectly sweet and the perfect spin on a classic margarita recipe. No cocktail shaker needed, you can pop all of the ingredients in a blender and drink. I will say, if you want everything super cold, make sure your ingredients are chilled or you will have to add ice. But if you want to make the margarita super cold, go ahead and add that ice.
Pineapple and mango together is like summer in a cup. The light and fruity drink is just the thing to make for a bbq with friends and family. I can't wait for you to add this delicious margarita to your summertime drink menu. And you can always make this a mocktail recipe as well. Who doesn't love a coconut mango and pineapple mocktail? Those ingredients are delicious in any type of drink. Either way, this margarita will definitely be a crowd pleaser.
Quick facts
Can you use fresh or frozen fruit in a margarita?
I prefer fresh fruit always. You just can't beat the flavor of fresh fruit. But If you want to save time, and I DO like to save time, frozen fruit works too and it's more reasonably priced compared to fresh fruit. I used fresh mango chunks and fresh pineapple chunks in this recipe.
Ice or no ice?
I love margaritas either way. On the rocks or frozen. There's no way I prefer. If you want to make it on the rocks with the fresh fruit you will need a strainer after you blend the fruit. Or you can use pineapple juice or mango juice.
Can you make this a spicy margarita?
YES. Add two Jalapeño slices to the bottom of your glass (if you're making a margarita on the rocks) and use a cocktail muddler with some simple syrup to get the spice out. I wouldn't suggest more than two slices or it will be too spicy to enjoy.
Total time to make this margarita will take no less than 5 minutes to whip up. Now that the warmer weather is here you can stock up on your favorite fruit ingredients at the grocery store and get ready for cocktail hour!
