Let's make a Fried Chicken Biscuit Sandwich
Who doesn't LOVE a quick dinner recipe after a long day? I do!!! And I make quick dinners often during this pregnancy, that's why I made this Fried Chicken Biscuit Sandwich. A 10/10 recipe for sure, and I'm not just saying that because I made it. I'm saying it because you don't need a ton of ingredients to make this and it doesn't take a ton of time. So when I first whipped this up, in my head I was like I love all of these ingredients, why not just pop them all together?
During a trip to Walmart, I came across these jumbo flaky buttery biscuits and I knew it would be perfect for the Fried Chicken Biscuit Sandwich that's been in my head for a bit. A crispy piece of chicken between a cut buttery biscuit. It was like an appetizer and dinner at the same time. I could only eat one because it was so filling but two is also good enough. Especially when you drown the chicken in hot honey. My husband and I LOVE hot honey. We tried it during a vacation once and we couldn't get it out of our head.

Tips:
- A buttermilk blend is necessary for a crispy chicken sandwich. You can buy Hood Buttermilk and soak your chicken with some seasoning.
- Canned biscuits work fine but if you prefer to make them homemade you can try a few recipes. I prefer to not make biscuits homemade all the time because I'm hangry! 🙂
- I have a meat tenderizer to flatten the chicken cutlet and this allows it to crisp up easier and cook faster.
Fried Chicken Biscuit Sandwich
Ingredients
- Canned jumbo biscuits
- Chicken cutlet
- Buttermilk blend (optional) but it does help make the chicken extra crispy
- 2 cups Flour
- Mikes Hot Honey
- Pickles
Season for the chicken
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 tsp parsley
- 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
Instructions
- Optional* sit the chicken cutlet in the buttermilk blend for 15-20 minutes.
- Pop in the canned biscuits and cook.
- Season the chicken with the above ingredients and set aside.
- Add 2 cups of flour to a bowl and add the seasoned chicken in there, coating both sides.
- Cook your chicken in the oil until crispy!
- Place the crispy chicken between the biscuits and top with hot honey and pickles. Feel free to add any other ingredients of your choice.
