It's Peach Season!
Peaches are officially in season until August so this is the perfect time to whip up my easy peach cobbler recipe. This is the second year I've made this recipe and it gets better each time I make it. The combination of of fresh peaches with sweet sugar and spices topped with a soft yet crispy dough layer on top. This type of recipe is perfect to serve at a party or with your family. Every peach cobbler recipe needs to be topped with vanilla ice cream. The combination is out of this world.
How to make my Easy Peach Cobbler

The first step is to cut and peel the peaches and cut them into wedges. Add the peaches to a bowl with cinnamon, nutmeg, brown and regular sugar, and corn starch. Mix that together with a spoon and set aside while we work on the mixture that will be on top of your peaches. Additionally I prepared a rectangular shaped baking pan sprayed with baking spray so the peaches don't stick to the bottom.
Next, work on the mixture

Now it's time to work on the mixture we will place on top of the fresh peaches. In a medium sized bowl you need to add the the flour, sugars, baking powder, and salt. Next, add the cubbed chilled butter and use a pastry blender or your hands to create a course crumb mixture. I used both my hands and the pastry blender. Once it becomes the crumb mixture add the water until it's fully mixed together. Use a spoon to add this mixture around the fresh peaches that will sit in your rectangle baking dish. You will bake this dessert at 425 for 30 minutes. Serve this dish nice and hot with vanilla ice cream.
