Remember Kudos Bars? My friends used to love them when I was in high school so I knew I needed to re-create this recipe and make copycat Kudos Bars at home to bring back that delicious feeling. These are made with Rice Krispies and Old Fashioned Rolled Oats and topped with a chocolate drizzle and M&Ms, this sweet treat is easy to make and tasty!
Making copycat Kudos bars is easy
You will only need a few ingredients needed to make this copycat recipe. You won't break the bank making this recipe and the flavor is incredible.
- Rice Krispies
- Old Fashioned Rolled Oats
- Butter
- Dark Corn Syrup
- Almond Butter
- Light Brown Sugar
- Vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt

In a medium-sized bowl, you need to mix up the Rice Krispies and Old Fashioned Rolled Oats. And on the stove top you need to mix the light brown sugar, Dark Corn Syrup, Almond Butter, Vanilla Extract, Salt, and Butter. Once the brown sugar is fully dissolved it needs to cool down and it will be poured into the Rice Krispies and Oat mixture. This will be your Kudos Bars base. On the side I have a square baking pan lined with parchment paper and the Kudos Bars base will be poured into the baking pan and pressed into the pan. Let this sit in the fridge for an hour to make the mixture harden.
Time to melt your chocolate!
Next, you need to start your chocolate melting. Melting chocolate takes patience because it's a slow process. I used a double boiler method because I used chocolate chips and coconut oil. You can also use the microwave method too.

Finally, drizzle the cut up bars in the chocolate and top the bars with the mini M&Ms. The chocolate does eventually harden but to make this happen faster pop them in the fridge for about 10-20 minutes.
