The best One pan pasta - Lemon Garlic Gnocchi!

One-pan pasta recipes are the best thing to make when you have a busy day. A short cooking time and you can add all of your favorite ingredients together without the hassle of tons of pan crowding your stove. That's my type of meal. This one-pan lemon garlic gnocchi was one of my favorite dinners I've made in a while. I work full-time so I needed something quick and easy to make. The flavor combination of lemon, garlic and chicken broth mesh perfectly together in your mouth. Let's break down how I made this One pan pasta - Lemon Garlic Gnocchi recipe step-by-step so you can make it soon.

Before I start my pasta I cooked the chicken since that step takes the longest. For the chicken cutlet I used lemon garlic seasoning but for this step, you can use whatever seasonings you love. I suggest the following.

    • Rosemary
    • Oregano
    • Garlic Salt
    • Pepper
    • Paprika
    • Italian Seasoning

I cooked the chicken in 3 tbs of oil until cooked properly and set aside. This cooked chicken will go on top of the pasta as the last step (like in my video)

    Let's make the pasta

One pan pasta - Lemon Garlic Gnocchi

I used frozen gnocchi which you can find in any supermarket. If you're feeling brave you can make your own pasta or buy fresh pasta. But for the sake of saving time just buy frozen. I like the Mama Rosie's brand which is really simple to cook and the quality is great. I've tried a few frozen pasta brands and I started to really like this one. Normally I would suggest cooking your pasta in advance of the one-pan recipe but gnocchi is so light it cooks really fast. I added the chicken broth and heavy cream to the pan along with the minced garlic.

Next up you add the frozen gnocchi and let that cook properly in the mixture. I had it cook for about 5-8 minutes. Typically, this frozen pasta cooks in water for this amount of time so putting it int he heavy cream mixture makes it cook too. While this is cooking pop your frozen spinach on the stove top with 1 tbs of olive oil and cook. The spinach will put placed on top of the heavy cream mixture and gnocchi. Keep mixing throughout this whole process scrape the bottom of the pan to make sure the mixture doesn't stick. The creamy sauce will begin to thicken as you keep mixing.

Wrap this up with adding the cooked chicken on top and mix it all up. Serve hot and enjoy! Let me know if you try this easy dinner recipe. And leave me a comment if you try and like the dish!

    • 2 teaspoon Minced garlic
    • 1 cup Chicken broth
    • 1 cup Heavy cream
    • 1 bag Mama Rosie's frozen gnocchi
    • Frozen spinach (as much as you want)

    Instructions

    • Cut your chicken cutlets in half the long way and coat with a little bit of olive oil and lemon pepper seasoning.
    • Cook in an oiled pan until both sides until the chicken is ready.
    • Take the chicken out the pan and add 2 teaspoon of minced garlic. Followed by the chicken broth. Mix.
    • Next, add heavy cream and mix even more!
    • Follow this up with the frozen gnocchi and let sizzle for 5-8 minutes. Add in the spinach next. (Make sure to thaw out the frozen spinach!!)
    • Once that's all blended together and the gnocchi is soft and cooked, add the chicken back on top and give everything a little stir. I let it sizzle for a few minutes and serve.
