What did I use in these Chewy Butterfinger Cookies ?

These butterfinger baking bits which I picked up at Walmart in the baking aisle. I have a previous chocolate chip cookie dough recipe I used here and I just popped a few scoops into the cookie dough balls. I also added some extra chocolate chips which pair well with chocolate chips. Add a scoop of peanut butter to make these cookies peanut butter butterfinger cookies. You could also crush up actual butterfinger bars and add that to your cookie dough. There are so many options! Using your cookie scoop, pick up about 2 tbs of cookie dough to make these cookies the size you see above. If you want something smaller only scoop once. To maker your cookies even better, pop your cookie dough into a large bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Cool the cookie dough in the fridge for an hour before you cook.

Make sure your cookie sheet is prepared with parchment paper before you begin the cooking process. Parchment paper is a great way to bake cookies. Once everything is cooked and ready, bring your cookies to room temperature before you eat. And to store them properly pop the cooled cookies into an airtight container.

If you're brave, pop your hand in the oven and add some extra bits and chocolate chips to the top of the cookie dough. You can make these cookies extra big if you use add two cookie scoops into your hand and roll the dough together. What else do I love about these cookies? I'm not a huge peanut butter fan and the peanut butter flavor isn't to overwhelming. Are you a fan of peanut butter cookies? Would you give this recipe a try? Ingredients

    • 2 ½ cups All-purpose flour
    • 1 cup Butter (melted on the stovetop and cooled)
    • 1 cup Brown sugar
    • ½ cup Sugar
    • 1 egg + 1 egg yolk
    • 1 ½ teaspoon Vanilla extract
    • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
    • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
    • Pinch of salt
    • ½ cup Chocolate chips
    • ½ cup Butterfinger bits

    Instructions

    • Preheat oven to 350
    • Set up your baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. If you don't have parchment paper, lightly grease your baking sheet.
    • Add the melted butter and sugars to your mixer and mix it up until fluffy. Follow this step up with the eggs and vanilla extract.
    • In a medium bowl on the side, add in your flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, chocolate chips, and butterfinger bits. Whisk everything and add this to your wet ingredients slowly. I did this ½ cup at a time. Scrape down the bowl between each ½ cup of flour you add.
    • Using a cookie scoop, place your cookie dough on your parchment lined baking sheet. Cook for 17 minutes and cool on the sheet or a wire rack.

    Notes

    * Sometimes I add more chocolate chips depending on what kind of mood I'm in. And I'm really craving chocolate lately so I wanted more!
