Getting ready for fall early
If you're on the hunt for a fall cake recipe my apple cinnamon bundt cake is the perfect thing for you to make. Now you may thinking making a bundt cake looks hard and I will admit, at first it is and that's only because I didn't grease the pan properly. But if you take the necessary prep steps you shouldn't have an issue getting the cake out of the pan.
My favorite part about this recipe is the fresh apples and the spices. Each bite you will get some apples. It's like fall in a cake. I love using spices like nutmeg and cinnamon when fall is approaching because it makes my home smell so good. For this recipe I only used cinnamon and it's just as good.

When you're getting started with this recipe you need to have the wet ingredients and dry ingredients in two separate bowls. And the apples have to be slowly folded in without over mixing.
Step 1:
Preheat your oven to 325. Add your dry ingredients to a small bowl and whisk all of the ingredients together. Set aside and take out another bowl to get started on the wet ingredients. Grease your bundt pan and set that aside as well.
Step 2:
In another bowl, add your sugars, eggs, vanilla extract, and applesauce. Mix this together and slowly add the dry ingredients 1 cup at a time. Final step is the diced apple. Slowly fold them into the cake mixture. Pour the cake mixture into your greased bundt pan.
Step 3:
Cook the cake at 325 for one hour. Once the timer goes off, poke the cake with a toothpick and if it comes out clean it's ready. Cool the cake off on the stovetop and flip it over on a cake stand when it's ready. While the cake is cooling start the cream cheese frosting.
Step 4:
In a small bowl add the butter, cream cheese, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and powdered sugar. Use your stand mixer or hand mixer to mix it all together until everything is fully blended. Frost your cake with this delicious cream cheese frosting.
