Why you'll love Oreo Ice Cream Sandwiches
It's simple, this recipe has a short prep time and needs to sit in the freezer for an hour to harden. Which means you can enjoy this treat in an hour. There isn't much that you need for this recipe besides the following below.
- Oreos
- Cookies & Cream ice cream
- Unsalted Butter
- And a square baking pan lined with parchment paper
With this recipe, each bite is better than the last. The Oreos soften with the ice cream so the sandwiches aren't hard when you bite in. It's a soft ice cream sandwich with that delicious Oreo flavor. I have been on an ice cream sandwich kick lately because they're super easy to make with no hassle. If I don't need to turn on my oven that makes me so happy. My house stays cool and there's less dishes.
Tips:
- Melt the butter ahead of time so it has time to cool
- I used store-bought ice cream to save time on this recipe. The goal is to make this an easy dessert and making homemade ice cream is not easy for a lot of people.
