Cherry pie filling (canned from the grocery store)
Pepperidge Farm puff pasty sheets
Egg Wash
1packageCream Cheese
2tbsGranulated Sugar
1teaspoonVanilla Extract
Instructions
Thaw out your puff pastry before these other steps!
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Soften cream cheese by leaving it on your counter for about 30 minutes. Put it in a bowl with 2 tbs of sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Set aside.
Cut your puff pastry into rectangle pieces.
Using the back of a butter knife lightly press against the edges of the rectangle to make an outline around the whole pastry. Do not cut through the dough.
Spoon cream cheese on the dough and spread.
Add a spoonful of cherry pie filling.
Using the egg wash brush the edges of the dough.
Cook at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Make sure it's brown.
Optional: Powdered sugar icing! Scoop about ½ cup of powdered sugar and 1 tbs of milk into a bowl. Pour on top of the pastry.
