Ingredients

  • 3 cups of all purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon plus ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 10 tablespoon unsalted butter cold and grated
  • ¾ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¾ cups of whole milk
  • 1 large egg beaten

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, add the flour, sugar, baking powder, pepper, and salt. Set aside.
  • Grate the cold butter and add it into the bowl with the dry ingredients.
  • In a small bowl, add the egg and whole milk, and whisk together. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and use a spoon to mix them together. When it gets to a thick mixture, use your hands to shape the dough and flatten it. Cut the individual pieces. Add the biscuits to the parchment paper-lined baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes. Check at the 15-minute mark.
  • Enjoy the biscuits nice and hot
