A few drops of pink gel food coloring - sometimes it's called neon pink depending on the packaging.
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 and prepare your cookie sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, use your hand mixer and blend the sugar and butter.
Add both eggs, vanilla extract and almond extract.
Follow this up with the flour and baking powder. I put both the flour and baking powder in a separate bowl and whisked them together. I added the flour mixture 1 cup at a time to the butter mixture.
Using a 2 tablespoon cookie scoop out the dough and roll it out. Place the dough on your baking tray with parchment paper and use your ½ cup to flatten the cookie. Try not to press it down too hard you want this to be in the shape of a typical sugar cookie.
Baking for 12 minutes and let the cookies cool on a cooling rack. While the cookies are cooking make the frosting.
For the frosting:
Add all of the ingredients to a bowl (except for the food coloring) and mix together. Add the pink gel food coloring once the other ingredients are fully blended.
Using a butter knife scoop some frosting onto a warm cookie and let this set. Pop them in the fridge to chill or enjoy them warm.
