A fun and different take on a classic Italian sub. This Spicy Italian sandwich is a remake of a sandwich I had at a local restaurant near my home. It's so good my husband I went back a few more times. Now, it's one of the only things we get at this restaurant.
Spicy Italian Sandwich

For this sandwich you need the following ingredients below from the deli. I toasted the Scali bread for an extra crunch. Each photo in the gallery is going to show you the steps to build this sandwich.
- Mortadella
- Capicola
- Salami
- Fresh mozzarella
- Shredded lettuce (coated in balsamic glaze)
- Roasted red peppers
- Hot cherry peppers
- Extra virgin olive oil coated on the sandwich
- Toasted Scali bread
Building the sandwich
Tomato, mozzarella, and mortadella are to be laid down first. Followed by the capicola and salami. Feel free to change up the order however you like. This is just my personal preference.

Next, you add the hot cherry peppers, roasted red peppers, lettuce coated in balsamic glaze and onions. I added the lettuce to a bowl and tossed it in some glaze and pepper. Coat the ingredients in olive oil and place the piece of bread on top. Cut the sandwich with a knife and enjoy with some of your favorite chips.
