Easy and quick Chocolate Croissant without the hassle. I used puff pasty instead of making homemade dough for a quick breakfast recipe. These croissants are simple to make with a short bake time.
Easy Chocolate Croissants
Typically Croissants take hours to make because you need to make dough and let it sit and rise. The morning I made this recipe I wanted a quick breakfast recipe without hassle. I needed something quick and these easy chocolate croissants were exactly what I needed to eat. A crispy and fluffy puff pastry filled with chocolate chips. There's nothing better when it comes to flavor. Each bite was filled with chocolate it was the best thing I've tasted.
Why use puff pastry sheets?

I use puff pastry sheets when I make my homemade danish and I knew the way these sheets would bake would be exactly what I wanted when it came to the texture and flavor for these easy chocolate croissants. The first thing you need to do is let the puff pastry sheets thaw out. The package I used comes with two sheets but I only used one. After the sheet is thawed you have to roll it out. You don't want the puff pastry to be too thick. That will change the shape of the croissant.
Next, you cut the sheet into three individually strips and on the end of one of those strips you add 1 tbs of chocolate chips, roll up the dough and add another 1 tbs of chocolate chips. Finally, you roll it up and brush the ends with egg wash and then brush the whole croissant with egg wash.
